October 7, 1966 Rod Berger scores a pair of long touchdowns to help Palmerton post a 20-7 Lehigh Valley League win over Catasauqua. Berger breaks a tie in the fourth quarter when he returns a punt 66 yards for a touchdown. The Bombers, coached by Jim Nonnemaker, add insurance later in the frame after Dave Honzo recovers a fumble. Walt Konek scores from four yards out to seal the win. Berger's first score comes in the first half when he takes a srceen pass from John Ondrasik and races 69 yards for a TD.
