Carbon driver facing DUI charge

A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident on Tuesday, Oct. 6, about 10:03 p.m. along Forest Inn Road in Towamensing Township.

State police at Lehighton said Jeremy Keith Wheaton, 26, of Palmerton, was stopped for a traffic violation. Troopers said he showed signs of intoxication and was taken to the barracks for a breath test.

Troopers said charges will be filed.
