Pocono Mountain Regional police reported the arrest of a Bucks County man for the robbery of a bank that occurred in May.

Police said William Curtis, 41, of Levittown, was arrested on a warrant on Oct. 7 and charged with the May 29 robbery of the Citizens Savings Bank branch office in Mt. Pocono.

Police said the arrest of Curtis was the result of a four-month investigation by detectives. The probe developed Curtis as a suspect and officers were able to confirm that he was involved via video surveillance and also through some of his associates. Police also confirmed that Curtis was in Pocono Summit on the day of the robbery.

A warrant for Curtis was obtained on June 23. After being picked up by detectives and brought back to Monroe and interviewed, Curtis admitted to his role in the robbery, police said.

Curtis was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville in lieu of $100,000 bail.
