Two-vehicle crash probed in Monroe

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a two-vehicle crash about 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, along SR209, near SR715, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Salvatore Santoro Jr., 31, of Bushkill, was pulling out from the Monroe Plaza parking lot in a 2006 Chevrolet Express onto 209 and pulled into the path of a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Edwin D. Pierce, 61, of Lehighton.

Troopers said Santoro complained of minor head pain but refused medical attention while Pierce was not injured. Troopers cited Santoro for vehicle entering or crossing a roadway.
