Carbon incident leads to charges
A Carbon County incident has led to an arrest.
State police at Lehighton said Glenn D. Kelchner, 60, of Bear Creek Drive, Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, has been charged with disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred about 2:05 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, in the area of 158 Bear Creek Drive. According to troopers Kelchner became enraged while driving at the above location. Troopers said the roadway was undergoing maintenance and Kelchner became enraged after being unable to bypass the road work.
Troopers allege that Kelchner used obscenities and threw a rock in the direction of an equipment operator who troopers identified as a 68-year-old man from Jim Thorpe.
