Police searching for Lehighton man

Monroe County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of Jason Thomas Ahner, 40, of 459 Maury Road, Lehighton, who is listed as a fugitive from justice.

Pennsylvania State Police Lehighton are seeking the public's assistance in locating Ahner, who is wanted for rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a minor, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault. Ahner has shoulder length black and gray hair, full beard and mustache. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.

Members of the Lehighton state police attempted to serve a felony warrant at his home, however, Ahner had fled. It was discovered that Ahner may be headed toward South Carolina or Florida. Ahner is known to own a .40 caliber handgun. His wife advised that she searched the residence for the weapon, but was unable to locate it.
