Tree topples from heavy snow

Heavy snow brought a large portion of a tree down Thursday afternoon in Mahoning Township. The tree was located at the intersection of Fritz Valley and Church Hill roads just north of SR443. The downed tree was first detected just after 4 p.m. by township police. The tree also brought down numerous utility lines believed to be phone and cable. Church Hill Road was closed for several hours.
