Vehicle stop leads to drug arrest

A vehicle stop in Monroe County has led to a drug arrest.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Ryan Harper, 19, of Tobyhanna, was stopped about 2:01 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, along SR196 near the minit mart for faulty tail lights on his vehicle. After a conflict in names given by the driver and different stories given by a passenger, police asked Harper to exit the vehicle to determine his true identity. A consent search was conducted and found on Harper was a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Harper was placed under arrest and charged with possesssion of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
