Theft incident probed in Carbon

A theft incident at a Carbon County business is being probed in which a large amount of cash was taken.

State police at Lehighton said James L. Iacoviello, 51, of Andreas, reported that his black leather wallet was taken while he was at Jimmy's Gym, located along SR209 in Franklin Township. The theft was discovered about 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18. The wallet contained $1,000 in cash, Iacoviello's drivers license and a Capital One credit card.

Troopers said the victim was in the weight lifting area when the wallet was taken.
