Two arrested for vehicle break-ins
Two men were arrested attempting to break into vehicles in Kline Township and McAdoo in Schuylkill County.
State police at Frackville identified the two as Ryan J. Kolesar, 24, of McAdoo, and David J. Swedo, 47, of Hazleton.
According to troopers about 1-2:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, the two were in the area of Fifth St., in the village of Kelayres, Kline Township, and streets off Blaine St., in McAdoo, attempting to gain entry to vehicles. About 2:45 a.m. troopers responded to the scene after one of the owners of the vehicles being entered observed Kolesar and confronted him. A foot chase ensued with one of the suspects taken into custody. The other one was found later and with the help of an off-duty police officer who resides in the area and McAdoo police, the two were apprehended.
Troopers said several vehicles were found to have been entered. The two are facing multiple charges. Troopers also said there may be other victims who have not yet been identified.
