Crash earlier today in Carbon

A Lehigh County driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 4:31 a.m. today in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said William A. Miller, 54, of Allentown, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Blue Mountain Drive in Lower Towamensing Township and failed to negotiate a right curve. The pickup truck crossed over the northbound lane and onto the berm where it collided into a tree, troopers said. The truck came to rest facing south off the berm.

Miller sustained a minor injury in the crash and was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by Palmerton ambulance.

Troopers said Miller was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
