Driver charged after accident

One of two drivers involved in a crash about 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the area of 177 W. Second Mountain Rd., in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County, is faicing charges.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Michele D. Spirko, 41, of Pottsville, was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am when she pulled out from a driveway into the path of a 1999 Nissan UD 1200 cube truck driven westbound by Brian R. Anthony, 38, of Schuylkill Haven. Spirko said she saw the truck but assumed she had enough time to pull out.

No one was injured with damages major to the front of the Grand Am and minor to the passenger side of the truck.

Troopers said Spirko will be cited.
