Liquor board cites Carbon business

Published October 21. 2009 05:00PM

A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Crocodile Lyle's Bar & Grill, 212 Center St., Jim Thorpe, was cited for three violations: permitted the price of alcoholic beverages to change within a designated discount pricing period; failed to post signage as required by the Clean Indoor Air Act; and permitted smoking in a public place where smoking is prohibited.

These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. Also, the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
