Attempted break-in probed in Thorpe

Jim Thorpe police are investigating an attempted burglary at a borough residence.

Police said Edward McArdle, 622 St., called them on Tuesday, Oct. 20, a bout someone attempting to enter his home. McArdle reported that sometime between 10 p.m. on Monday and 10 a.m. on Tuesday unknown persons broke his basement door. McArdle said nothing was taken.

Police asked residents to report and suspicious activity by calling police at (570) 325-4995 or the county communications center at (570) 325-9111.
