Burglary reported in Mahoning Twp.

Jewelry and credit cards were reported stolen during a burglary in Mahoning Township on Monday.

Chief of Police Ken Barnes said a resident of the 300 block of Oak Drive reported to police that sometime during the day forcible entry was made to the home via kicking in the front door.

A jewelry box containing assorted jewelry and a purse containing various credit cards were stolen. The victim is compiling a list of all items stolen in the burglary.

Anyone having information is urged to call police (570) 386-2241 or call the Carbon County Communications Center at (570) 325-9111 and they will relay the information to a Mahoning police.
