Eerie ghost tours in Old Jail Museum
Night time Ghost will be held in the Old Jail Museum in Jim Thorpe on Saturday, 24 and 31. Ghost seekers will have an opportunity to hear chilling tales of unexplained happenings within the walls of this 138 year old former county prison.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m. and continuing to the last tour at 9:30 p.m., visitors will hear about the eerie sights, creepy sounds and unexplained touches that have been reported by visitors to the Old Jail during the past 14 years. Ghost seekers will travel through the jail's darkened hallways and, if they are brave, descend to the dark, dreaded dungeon in the jail's lower level while they hear haunting tales of spirits.
Tickets for the Old Jail Ghost Tours may be purchased at the Old Jail Museum the nights of the tour. Advance reservations are not accepted. Because of the nature of the spine-tingling stories, children under 12 are not permitted on the tours.
This is not a haunted house. The Old Jail Museum is a non-profit corporation and the proceeds of the Ghost Tours will assist St. Joseph Regional Academy in Jim Thorpe. For more information, call 570-325-5259, or www.TheOldJailMuseum.com .
