Garage burns in Monroe

Little remains of a large garage destroyed by fire Saturday afternoon at Borger's Raceway in Saylorsburg, Monroe County. The fire was first reported just after 4 p.m. by a passerby and when firefighters from throughout Monroe and Northampton counties arrived on scene the wood frame structure was fully involved in flames. Flames and smoke could be seen for miles from the fire. During the height of the blaze several explosions were reported causing fire officials to close down Routes 115 and 33. A state police fire marshal has been called to investigate the fire.
