Former St. Ann's School gutted

Workers from Dolan Construction, Inc., Reading, throw debris down a chute into a trash receptacle as they gut the former St. Ann's School on Bertsch Street in Lansford. The Allentown Diocese plans to convert the school into subsidized apartments for older people. The former St. Ann's convent, in the foreground, will be torn down for a parking lot.
