Halloween parade

The Panther Valley Elementary School will hold its annual Halloween Parade on Friday, Oct. 30, with students from the school parading through the streets of Nesquehoning.

The band members will accompany the students.

The parade should get under way around 1:45 p.m.

PV Class of 2010

The Panther Valley Class of 2010 All Night Party committee is meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.

Details on the success of the Powder Puff Games will be discussed along with the upcoming Theme Basket Auction.

All parents and family members are encouraged to attend meetings and share ideas and suggestions.

Nesquehoning VFW

There will be a special meeting of the ladies auxiliary to Nesquehoning Memorial VFW Post 8008 on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 6:30 p.m.

Nominations for the office of treasurer will be accepted at this meeting. President Cathy Sommers will preside at the session. All members are encouraged to attend.
