Theft of racing bike being probed
Nesquehoning police are investigating the theft of a racing bike.
Chief Sean Smith said James Mulholland Jr., of 6 W. Center St., reported on Oct. 23 at 7:33 a.m. that his 2005 Honda Repsol limited edition racing bike, orange and black in color, was stolen from his front yard. The theft occurred sometime between midnight and when he reported to Smith.
Smith said the bike has multiple racing stickers on it and the ignition was not punched and the key was not in the ignition. Smtih added that he observed marks made in the lawn consistent with tire marks and kickstand of the bike being dragged to a waiting vehicle and removed from the yard.
The bike is valued at $8,000. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at (570) 669-9111.
