Published October 29. 2009 05:00PM

A home at 113 Pitt St., Tamaqua, received minor damage to the cinder block porch on Tuesday morning.

The building, owned by Lori Kaiser, was struck by a sanitation truck, owned by the Environmental Awareness Corporation, doing business as Tamaqua Sanitation and Recycling. The 2001 Mack was being operated by Gregory Peltry, of New Ringgold.

According to police Peltry was driving west on Franklin Street and attempted to turn left onto Pitt Street. Due to conditions Peltry had to make a three point turn. As he backed up the truck struck the porch of Kaiser's home.

No charges were filed.
