Party held
St. John's Lutheran Church, South Ave., held its annual Halloween party for the children of the Sunday School this week. The children participated in various games, decorating treat bags and of course the parade of costumes. Prizes were awarded to the following; most original, Emelyn Shirley; spookiest, Timmy Tartaglia; prettiest, Kendra Boger; funniest, Akaya Lacey; cutest, Ave Shafer; and judges choice, Matthew Confer. A special guest for the evening was Saint Peter Muhlenberg.
Coat collection
A coat drive is now taking place at St. John's Lutheran Church, South Ave., for children in need of winter coats. The committee will be collecting coats for infants through teens, all sizes and in good clean condition.
The coats may be dropped off at the church on Saturday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 7 and 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The give away will take place on Saturday, Nov. 21 and 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. At the conclusion of the drive any remained coats will be donated to the various food pantries.
If you have no way of getting your donations to the church, please contact Bonnie Hoffman, (610) 554-3528 and arrangements will be made to pick them up.
