Tamaqua seeks burglary suspect

Tamaqua police are investigating a Friday night burglary and are asking for the public's help.

The suspect is described as a six feet tall white male, stocky in build. He was last seen fleeing west on Broad Street at about 10 p.m. after burglarizing a property at 123 W. Broad St.

Football fans leaving the Tamaqua-Jim Thorpe contest may have seen the fleeing fugitive. A $500 reward is being offered for any information leading to an arrest and conviction.
