Theft from vehicle incidents probed

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating two theft from vehicle incidents.

Troopers said Robert Locke, 73, of 3344 Mountain Rd., Reeders, Jackson Township, Monroe County. reported his unlocked vehicle was entered while parked in the driveway of his home. Removed were two flashlights, sunglasses, a yellow strobe light and a security enforcement badge. The incident occurred sometime between Sept. 4 at 11 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 5.

Troopers said a vehicle at the Valero truck stop along SR534 in East Side Boro, Carbon County, was entered and removed was methadone pills. The incident was reported on Sept. 2. Troopers did not list the name of the victim.

A mailbox at 312 Fall Creek Terrace, Jackson Township, was reported stolen by the owner, whose name troopers did not release. The incident occurred overnight of Sept. 3-4.
