The Pines Dinner Theatre, 3045 High Hill Road, Slatington, presents "The Honky-Tonk Angels," playing September 11 through October 25, 2009.

Written by award winning author Ted Swindley, author of "Always…Patsy Cline," "The Honky-Tonk Angels" follows the trials and tribulations of three women, destined to follow their dreams of stardom in Music City, USA.

Featuring a score of some of the greatest country hits ever recorded, "The Honky-Tonk Angels" includes "Nine to Five," "Ode To Billy Joe," "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" and so many more.

The show features the talents of three professional actresses: Amber Kerestes, Jessica Benner, and Desiree Mathews.

Kerestes is no stranger to the stage at the Pines, having appeared recently as Sally Smith in "Me and My Girl," Lousie Seger in "Always…Patsy Cline," and June Sanders in "Smoke on the Mountain," for which she won Best Actress in a Musical for the 2008 ABE Theatre Awards.

She has traveled the country and the world as an actress on national tours, as well as choreographing countless productions throughout the east coast.

Benner, a recent graduate of DeSales University, has recently appeared at the Pines as Helga in "Lucky Malone's Not So Lucky Night."

Mathews is back at the Pines after appearing in "Me and My Girl," and "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."

The show is directed by Oliver Blatt, with Musical Direction by Stacy Bechtel. Along with the cast, the show features a live country band on stage accompanying the show.

Before the theatre opens every day, patrons are encouraged to visit the Wooden Nickel Family Saloon located in the theatre lobby.

Once the theatre opens, patrons are served dinner.

Evening performances are Friday and Saturday, afternoon performances are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
