Retail theft arrest at Schuylkill Mall

State police at Frackville reported an arrest for retail theft at a store in the Schuylkill Mall, in New Castle Township.

Troopers said Derrick Emory Yeager, 22, of Shenandoah, was arrested following an incident about 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Deb Store. Troopers said Yeager attempted to remove a black dress and a black belt from the store by placing the items in a tan bag he was already carrying. He then left the store and refused sto stop for store personnel. Yeager then discarded the package in the woods as he fled. He was later apprehended and charged.
