Luzerne Co. man admits to taking snowboard

A Luzerne County man entered a guilty plea recently in Carbon County court on the day he was scheduled to pick a jury to hear his case.

Curtis John Mulhern, 26, of Dallas, pleaded guilty before Judge David W. Addy to one count of theft. He admitted taking a Rossignal snowboard belonging to Dominic Yates at the Jack Frost Ski Area in Kidder Township.

Addy accepted the plea and placed Mulhern on probation for a year and ordered he make restitution for the snowboard for $700 with a minimum payment of $50 per month; get a mental health evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment; and pay a $50 monthly supervision fee.
