Police investigating armed robbery Monday at pizzeria in Coolbaugh Township

Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday morning at a Monroe County store.

Police said about 9:20 a.m., a black male entered Peppino's Pizzeria located along SR940 in Coolbaugh Township, and brandished a small caliber semi-automatic handgun to Deborah Golas, 49, of Pocono Lake, an employee of the store, and demanded money.

The robber then fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash.

He was last seen running on Pocono Road toward Summit Pointe.

He is described as being about 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall, thin build, wearing a dark colored baseball cap, black cloth over his face, dark colored jacket and jeans.
