Riverwalck Restaurant appeals Parryville zoning officer's order

Published October 05. 2009 02:55PM

Parryville Zoning Hearing Board has scheduled a hearing at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, to hear an appeal by Riverwalck Restaurant, 8 Centre St., Parryville.

Zoning officer Richard Fedor informed council on Friday that six agencies from the state met recently to discuss issues associated with the restaurant. Since there is pending litigation, he could not provide detailed information, but wanted residents to know that there will be an upcoming hearing should they want to make comments.

He said that the restaurant already has been cited by the Fish and Boat Commission and by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Fedor said that he has received 20 calls from residents over the past several days.

"All the construction is illegal," he said.

Fedor has issued a cease-and-desist order.

Borough council did not comment on the matter.
