Two thefts from vehicle incidents are probed

Two thefts from vehicle incidents were recently investigated by state police at Lehighton.

Troopers said the 2004 Chevrolet truck of Lucas A. Sterner, 30, of Kunkletown, was entered while parked at 1945 Lower Smith Gap Rd., in Lower Towamensing Township, sometime between 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, and 1 p.m. on Saturday. Removed from the unlocked truck was a Cobra radar detector.

Christine Ferguson, 40, of 385 Drift Rd., Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, reported her 1999 Dodge Caravan was entered sometime between Friday at 9 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. Removed from the unlocked vehicle was a DVD player, four DVDs and a purse containing children's clothing.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
