Progress reports
Progress reports for children in the Pleasant Valley School District who receive them will be distributed on Friday, Oct. 2.
White Cane Day
White Cane Day will be supported by the Western Pocono Lions Club on Friday, Oct. 2, at two sites and on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Effort Post Office and the Brodheadsville Post Office with the help of the community.
On Oct. 10, volunteers will be at Kinsley's ShopRite with information.
College student gifts
St. Peter's UMC of Saylorsburg will be sending care packages to all its college students as a mid-term reminder of caring.
Care packages are to be mailed in early October.
Free program
East Stroudsburg University offers a free program at 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 5, in Common Grounds. Featured will be Tracy Ashley, comedian.
