Man cited for gun law violation

A Schuylkill County resident was cited recently for violation of gun laws.

State police at Frackville said Allen J. Zimmerman, of Frackville, attempted to purchase a firearm at On-Target Gun Shop, in Frackville, on Dec. 18 and alleged to have falsely stated facts on the ATF form which is filled out at the time of the purchase. The charges were filed with District Judge Bernadette Nahas, of Frackville.

Zimmerman was arrested on charges of sale or transfer of firearms and unsworn falsification to authorities. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
