Garden club
The South Schuylkill Garden Club will host its Annual Tea on April 24, at 2 p.m., at the Schuylkill County Country Club, SR443 in Orwigsburg. This year's theme will be "Chocolate and Roses," featuring the Hershey Rose Garden and its founder, Milton Hershey.

The garden club meets the third Tuesday of each month from March through November. Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. at Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Dock Street, Schuylkill Haven, with the exception of the annual September Plant swap at Frog Hollow and the December holiday party. New members are always welcome. The club's annual plant sale will be held May 15, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. across from the Schuylkill Haven High School.
The South Schuylkill Garden Club is a member of District II/III of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania and the National Garden Clubs Inc.
Primitive Methodist
The Rev. Rodney Hall will officiate at the 10:45 a.m. worship service this Easter Sunday in Primitive Methodist Church. A children's sermon will be included.
Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m.
First Steps, a support group for mothers of young children, will meet next Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m., at the church.
St. Peter's Union
The Rev. Rodney Wells will officiate at the 6:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. worship services this Easter Sunday in St. Peter's Union Church, Mantzville. Both services will include Holy Communion. Sunday school classes meet at 10:15 a.m.
Also on Sunday, the Confirmation Class meets at 1 p.m.
Activities for next week will include: Thursday, prayer group meets at 5 p.m., Worship and Music Committee meets at 6 p.m.; Saturday, Bereavement Camp, sponsored by St. Luke's Hospice, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The choirs will rehearse on Thursday: Junior Choir at 7 p.m. and Senior Chop at 7:45 p.m.
Zion Lutheran
The Rev. Debra Ernst will officiate at the 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. worship services this Easter Sunday in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Both services will include the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Sunday school classes will meet at 9:30 a.m.
Activities for next week will include: Tuesday, Property Committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. and Finance Committee meeting at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, Endowment meeting at 9:30 a.m., Executive meeting at 10:30 a.m. and Mutual Ministry meeting at 7 p.m.; Thursday, PERT meeting at 7 p.m. and Senior choir rehearsal at 7:30 p.m.
