Burglary, theft incidents probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a burglary and theft incidents at two Schuylkill County locations.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Matthew Price, 25, of 131 Pottsville St., in Cressona. Unknown persons entered the home through an unlocked rear door, went to an upstairs bedroom and removed a Playstation 3 as well as its' cables from a television and four game remotes. The value of the missing items was set at $850. The incident occurred sometime between 1 and 3 a.m. on Saturday, April 3.

The theft occurred at the Blackwood Mining Inc. property along Blackwood Road, in Reilly Township, Ashland, just off SR125. Unknown persons entered the property and removed a diesel generator which was used to power mining equipment and was stored in a wooden out building on the site. The incident occurred sometime between March 20-23. The owner of the generator is Russell R. White, of Ashland.
