Monroe assault suspect sought

A Monroe County man is being sought for an assault incident.

State police at Fern Ridge are seeking the whereabouts of Gary L. Christman Jr., of SR715, Jackson Township, for simple assault.

According to troopers on Sunday, April 11, about 3:30 a.m. Christman was involved in an argument with Ida Christman, 34, at that address. During the argument he allegedly struck her in the face and threw a cherry pie at her, striking her in the upper torso.

Christman fled the scene when troopers arrived. Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-2271.
