Schuylkill bar cited by liquor board

Published April 14. 2010 05:00PM

A Schuylkill County tavern has been cited by the state liquor control board's Allentown enforcement office.

La Casita De Familia, of 8 E. Centre St., Shenandoah, was cited for selling, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to two minors, ages 17 and 18, which occurred on Feb. 27.

The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
