New courtroom in Carbon

After several delays over a three month period Carbon County's new courtroom, designated number three, was used for the first time on Thursday by Judge Steven R. Serfass. Serfass is the county's third judge and his new courtoom is located on the third floor of the courthouse in Jim Thorpe. Pictured is a general view of the new courtroom and in the second photo shows Serfass seated on the bench. The courtroom was scheduled to be ready by Jan. 1 but was delayed due to some construction problems.
