Monroe woman cited for retail theft
A Monroe County woman was arrested for retail theft following an incident at the Weis Market, located along SR209, in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township.
State police at Fern Ridge said Colleen Rogers, 36, of Kunkletown, entered the market about 6:18 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, and filled a shopping cart with various items. She then removed empty shopping bags from her purse and attempted to disguise the items in the cart as paid. The was stopped after exiting the store. All the items, valued at $534.04, were recovered.
Rogers was taken into custody by troopers and transported to the barracks where she was processed, issued a citation and released.
