Luzerne man jailed for violating order

A Luzerne County man was jailed in Schuylkill County for violating a protection from abuse (PFA) order.

State police at Frackville said Alan J. Palumbo, 47, of Weston, went to the residence of a 37-year-old female along Phineyville Road, in Brandonville, East Union Township, about 8:45 p.m. on Friday, April 16, which is a violation of the order.

A warrant was secured for Palumbo's arrest and he was taken into custody in Shenandoah on Saturday, April 17, by a trooper while on patrol. He was arraigned before District Judge Bernadette Nahas, of Frackville, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville when he failed to post 10 percent of $15,000 bail.
