A Monroe County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 11:10 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, at the parking lot of the United Methodist Church, along Merwinsburg Rd. at Valley Rd., in Chestnuthill Township.

At the time and place stated troopers met with Frank Edward Destefano, 46, of 79 Tomahawk Trail, Albrightsville, concerning a problem he was having with the private purchase of a vehicle. After listening to Destefano decribe the details of the transaction he was told it was a civil matter and not a criminal one.

At this point Destefano became extremely irate and began shouting while waving his arms in an aggressive manner. He then shouted obscentities repeatedly. He was ordered to stop using the obscene language but continued. He was then placed under arrest for disorderly conduct but continued to use obscene language until placed in the back of a state police cruiser. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment, troopers said.
