A Shenandoah man has been cited by Tamaqua police after causing a disturbance at the Turkey Hill Minute Martket, E. Broad St.

William Sweatt, 42, of 115 Coal St., was at the convenience store at 11:55 p.m. Friday in a visibly intoxicated state. At one point he banged his head against the ATM machine located at the front exterior of the building. He then sat on the walkway and refused to leave despite repeated requests from store personnel.

Officers took Sweatt into custody and placed him in a holding cell. He was later cited for public drunkenness and released.
