Vandalism to two vehicles reported

A Tamaqua man reported that he had windows on two of his vehicles smashed early Saturday morning.

Adam Jones, 23, of 730 E. Broad St., called borough police at 1:44 a.m. Saturday to report that someone had smashed a window on his 1999 Chrysler Cirrus.

The vehicle had been parked in the Rite Aid lot while Jones was in the Golden Spike.

Later that morning, at 6:15 a.m., officers were contacted concerning a different vehicle owned by Jones.

The 1995 Ford Escort, which had been parked near Jones' home, also had a smashed window.

Someone entered the vehicle and removed all of Jones' stereo equipment.
