A Monroe County woman is facing a charge of retail theft following an incident that occurred on Tuesday, April 20.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers were called to Bills Shoprite, in Mt. Pocono, about noon for a report of a retail theft. Police said Joanne Landolfi, 68, of Swiftwater, allegedly took several items and attempted to exit the store without paying for them. She was stopped by store security and held for police. The value of the items was $45.88.

A criminal check revealed Landolfi had a prior retail theft conviction in 2007. Police took her into custody, transported her to police headquarters where she was booked and later released.
