Pocono arrests
Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on the following arrests made by officers recently.
On April 12 about 12:30 p.m. officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation along SR196 at the Carriage Square in Coolbaugh Township. A further investigation by K-9 Kane of the vehicle revealed a large amount of ecstasy pills and marijuana was found under the passenger seat. The driver, Sarah Elsayed, 20, of Coolbaugh, was placed under arrest and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
On April 14 about 6:31 p.m. officers responded to 5014 Belvidere Road, Tobyhanna, to assist ambulance personnel with an intoxicated female. Upon arrival the female was identified as Melinda Campisi, 50, of that address. Campisi was found to be under the influence. While being checked out by medical personnel she became belligerent toward them and police. She was arrested for public drunkenness and placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
On April 14 about 9:48 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop along SR196 at the PenMart in Tobyhanna for an equipment violation. The driver identified herself as Tanisha Evans, of Tobyhanna, and said she did not have her driver's license with her. A further investigation revealed she was actually Kia Evans, 32, sister of Tanisha. She was placed under arrest for false identification to law enforcement. Police said she gave the false ID because her driver's license is under suspension.
On April 17 about 8:10 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Main St., just off Midway Road, in Coolbaugh Township, to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers found the vehicle and made contact with a Michael Lloyd, of Pocono Lake. He was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for public drunkenness.
On April 18 about 3:06 a.m. police were dispatched to Hickory Lane in Coolbaugh Township, for a report of an intoxicated male who was banging on the door of a residence.
Police found Peter R. Cabrera, 22, of Tobyhanna, at the scene trying to find his way home. He was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
