Dog law violations in Nesquehoning
Nesquehoning reported the arrest of two borough residents for dog law violations.
On April 16 Chief Sean Smith was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Railroad St. to a report of two Rotweiler dogs running loose. Smith and Carbon County Dog Warden Bruce May seized the two dogs. The owner was identified as Keri Highfield, of 137 E. Railroad St. It was also learned that the dogs did not have a current dog license. Highfield was cited for four non-traffic citations for dogs running loose and for not being licensed.
On April 17 Smith was again dispatched to the 100 block of E. Railroad St. to a report of two Rotweilers running loose again. Smith observed the dogs and secured them at the residence of their owner. Leah Holland, of 137 E. Railroad St., was issued two citations for dogs running loose. Smith also filed two additional citations against Highfield for dogs not being licensed.
