Panther Valley seeks playground vandals
Panther Valley School District officials are asking anyone who knows who vandalized the elementary school playground to contact Nesquehoning police at (570) 669-9111
Meanwhile, the campus and playground will be closed from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily through June 8.
Only school board-approved youth groups will be permitted on the campus after hours.
Anyone violating the no-trespassing rule will be prosecuted, and police will be paying special attention to the area, according to a news release from the school district.
Nesquehoning Police Chief Sean Smith said a sliding board had been damaged. Superintendent Rose Porembo did not immediately return a telephone call to her office Monday.
