Hit and run driver sought in Monroe

State police at Lehighton are looking for a hit and run driver who was involved in an accident along Chestnut Rige Road, in Eldred Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said a 1994 Chrysler Lebaron was driven northbound too fast for conditions and crossed the road into the oncoming lane and onto the berm. The vehicle struck a large tree. The driver pulled the vehicle off to the side of the road and fled the scene.

Troopers said the vehicle is registered to Jerome M. Buskirk, of Kunkletown.
