Vehicle stop leads to DUI charge

A vehicle stop in Monroe County has a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) pending against the driver.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Raymond R. Counterman, 32, of Bushkill, was stopped about 8:51 p.m. on Friday, April 23, along SR940 at Bill's Shop Rite for a windshield obstruction.

Counterman showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. He was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.
