Woman jailed in stabbing incident
A Carbon County woman was jailed following a stabbing incident. State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred about 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, at 911 SR903, in Penn Forest Township.
Troopers said at that location Daniel D. Berger, 21, and Felisha M. Albertson, 18, both of Jim Thorpe, entered into a verbal altercation which turned physical. Albertson allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Berger in the right temple area of his head. Berger was transported to the Blue Mountain Health Systems Gnaden Huetten Campus, Lehighton, for treatment of the injury.
Albertson was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and related offenses and was arraigned before duty District Judge Bruce Appleton, of Palmerton. She was committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning after failing to post $50,000 percentage bail.
In a related matter troopers reported the arrest of Danielle L. Ahner, 23, whose is listed as homeless, for furnishing alcohol to minors. Troopers said while investigating the assault incident is was learned that Ahner provided alcohol to Albertson which may have contributed to the assault.
