Slatington driver cited after crash
A Slatington driver was cited following a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 4:15 p.m. on Monday, April 26, at the intersection of SR309 and SR4024, in Lynn Township, Lehigh County.
State police at Fogelsville said Amanda S. Scholl, 26, of Slatington, was stopped on 4024 eastbound and entered the intersection into the path of a northbound 2000 Toyota 4Runner on 309 driven by Kim S. Lindsey, 48, of New Tripoli. Troopers said Lindsey attempted to avoid a collision by steering hard to the right. The front of Scholl's 2003 Jeep Liberty struck the driver side door with the passenger front end. After impact the Toyota traveled east and spun about 110 degrees clockwise before impacting the guide rail with the passenger side front. After impact the Jeep came to rest on the north side of the road.
Scholl, Lindsey and her passenger, Rachel E. Lindsey, 15, same address, were all not injured. Troopers cited Scholl for a stop sign violation.
